BEAUTY.

from the revelation of others close to me, Deuteronomy is where Jesus and I are camping out this early a.m. morning.

BE careful to follow every command I AM giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land that the Lord promised on oath to your forefathers. Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble you and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known,to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years. Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord God disciplines you. Deuteronomy 8:1-5.... and if you want more keep going to ch.11

knowing His discipline and grace equally is the beauty and reality of Christ. our reality is not our own. Our reality comes from Him. That is truth and that is fullness. I have nothing for you but the life of Christ, for which is only by and through and because of Christ Himself. HE is my life. I need Him today as much as yesterday as much as tomorrow. Never will i not need Him and be/know full reality.

thankful for you today my friends.
be blessed.

JESUS BLOOD NEVER FAILS ME...

JESUS BLOOD NEVER FAILS ME...

burdened with the weight of my own sin, the sin of the world is too much to bear. almost gagging at its disgust this morning in the middle of a coffee shop, i begin to hear an echo in my spirit... it was the Lord singing to me .. almost chanting.... 'JESUS BLOOD NEVER FAILS ME'... and before long i had the hillsong united version blaring through my headphones, stomping my foot, in tears that it will never be us, but Him. Not my wisdom, but His. Not my hands, but His. Not me, but Him. Not my fame, but His glory. Not my blood, but Jesus' blood. Jesus blood never fails us...

needed to share this with whoever would hear it...

sobering thought...

here's a thought that was very sobering for me today...

we have died to sin, so how can we live in sin any longer?

humbled in the best way.

our Christian bubble...

Being here in auburn i realize sometimes that we're trapped inside this little christian bubble. Thankfully, through my community group and the community groups of others i get to hear what God is doing through these groups to redeem the lost and get a taste for the junk that goes on outside of this little bubble. I don't want to get on a soap box about our bubble, because i really don't have a soap box to get on. I think it's just healthy sometimes to acknowledge the bubble we often live in and be aware that there are dying people among us. People starving for the only satisfaction that is found in Jesus. I recently read this article about a journalism professor at the UT-Austin. It's very interesting and eye-opening to the salvation hungry people among us. If you read the article, make some time to skim through the comments at the bottom. While I was reading the article i was thinking, "i can't wait to get to the comments and see what all the christians have to say." Well, come to find out, not too many christians commented on this article. Just more people with the same ideas...or people with different, yet equally wrong ideas. It's worth a read if you've got the time.

more from the big day

all around it was a great day! i have a couple more pictures from our adventures in the park today. In case you're wondering about the picture of our backs, it's kinda sentimental because our first picture together is a picture that one of courtney's friends took when we were highlands the weekend that we started dating.

one happy year...

Well, it has officially been a full year since Courtney and i began our little adventure that we call "dating." Or, "going out" or "going steady" or "being an item" or i hear the latest hip term is "talking." Well whatever you call it, it's been a year, and it's been wonderful. Last night courtney took me to atlanta to eat at Cafe Tu Tu Tango and then we went to see Cary Pierce and Eddie's Attic. It was an awesome surprise and we had a GREAT time. We took a few pictures of ourselves while in atlanta, i'll post them below for your enjoyment. Today, we continued celebrating by being outside in the beautiful weather today. We ate a picnic and took a walk in a park and took random pictures of cool stuff that we saw along the way. It was a lot of fun, and we finished our afternoon off with some ice cold lemonade from Toomer's downtown! It was great, i'll have pictures from today posted later. But, for now, enjoy these pics from atlanta.
